76 Immunotherapy

"Remember, it is just a "snapshot" in time....anything can change and anything is possible...."

One of my friends from 5 Day Silent Retreat gave me this amazing message. It seemed impossible at first, but it started to sound convincing as I was gaining back my healthy mind.

I was almost making up my mind what to do next, but just hesitant to declare because it might sound ridiculous and impossible.

The idea was to go to California to cure. I was given this information about Issels Medical Center in Santa Barbara, CA, which is an outpatient facility providing immunotherapy.

As I lost confidence in continuing natural cure, something more concrete sounded good to me, and yet natural approach sounded even better.

And of course the location sounded attractive, although a little far from L.A. where I have many friends, but it is in California!

Actually I had signed up for my dream workshop by Robert Burridge in Arroyo Grande, which happened to be near Santa Barbara, in early September, and I had already planned a trip. So I could easily add my California stay to make it a healing and art vacation, well if I didn't have to worry about the cost.

I compared in my mind what it would like to be taking further treatments this summer in California or in Tokyo. In California I would drive car to get around in the comfortable California weather, get healthy food easily, staying at healthy friends' who understand my diet, or in Tokyo I would have to walk, take trains to go anywhere, to hospital or to grocery shopping (not healthy enough for me) in the severe summer heat, mainly asking for my sick mom's help, etc.

It's so obvious that I should go to California for cure!

74 Giving advice to a cancer colleague

Recently, a co-worker took a long sick leave. After a month she came back and said she had to take another one. Turned out, she had ovarian cancer and had hystero-oophorectomy, and after the biopsy, she was diagnosed as cell cancer.

She was sitting close to me when I started working, observing me how I set up my work station with two thermos full of raw veggie juice and a couple of bins of Dr. Schulze's herb extracts, and curiously studied my lunch-box full of raw veggies and fruit, with weird powder (for colon cleansing).

I told her my story, and she was all interested and told me she was hoping to find a solution without chemical treatments, as she was supposed to decide how to proceed with chemo therapy soon.

I didn't mean to brain-wash her, but couldn't help to tell her that there are many options other than chemical treatments. In her case, she didn't know anything about natural healing or spirituality, but interestingly, she found that her dentist could perform energy healing just because she told him about her situation and the fear for the damage by chemo therapy. She said he was the first one to agree with her and told her there would be options, too.

Whatever she chooses is best for her, so I decided not to push anything on her. She has been searching for her own path, started looking within as well as outside for help, such as energy healing.

So now I have someone at work that I can share my thoughts and experiences with.

71 Pain in the ribs

So dry skin and short breath issue are solved already, theoretically. Now a new issue took over, which is the intense pain around my rib cage.

It started around last December, after Bon Jovi concert, so I casually thought I had a muscle ache from jumping around too much during the show. But it never went away, and the painful parts changed around. I couldn't cough or laugh, or sneeze because it hurt to do any of them.

It's actually strange that I haven't sneezed for months because my body automatically stops sneeze from happening.

I suspected intercostal neuralgia, or doubted if my breast cancer metastasized to lungs or bones. But none of the symptoms I searched  on the internet rang the bell.

When my healer friend visited Tokyo from Vancouver, she introduced me to her great healer friend, Kevin, and his healing place, and also the New Scan Therapy which is one of the therapies they offer.

I coincidentally found that a long lost friend is currently the number one disciple to Kevin! Soon I found out that the three of us, Kevin, my old friend, and I share the same birthday.

Kevin is actually a big figure and busy traveling to heal people, throw seminars, etc., but kindly offered me a healing the next day.

During the healing, he told me that my cancer was benign and it didn't have to be removed in the first place, and my body is greatly strained from the surgery. And the pains in the rib is owing to weakened muscles, so he recommended that I should walk a lot.

That  may be true, because I had not been walking much because of the shortness of the breath and fatigue. I used to walk 90 minutes a day last year.

Although the healing was very quick, the next day I felt the difference. The mean pain in my right shoulder (told it was at the beginning stage of frozen shoulder) became easy, and my hair didn't shed much in the shower (been noticed that my hair shed too much lately).

But..the pain in the rib still remains.

70 Extreme dry skin and shortness of breath

Meanwhile, as I noted in earlier post, extreme dry-skin issue has been troubling me on and off. I didn't make it a big concern on purpose and tried to be friends with it, but with a little bit of fear deep down, to be honest.

The skin trouble subsided several times temporarily. One time the flaky skin got very smooth after a nice long bath in a hot spring after Forest Adventure, or another time when I stayed away from wheat on top of veganism. Or when I was told that it might be a
symptom of  menopause, which was an eye-opener and a reliever.

Finally, I found out that I had anemia in a fairly bad stage. So funny I didn't even suspect that. A doctor friend asked me to pull my eyelid down. And wow how white it looked!
That made sense, because besides dry skin, I've been having shortness of breath, and it was getting worse that I could hardly climb stairs these days, which I presumed another menopausal symptom. Now Anemia could cause those symptoms!

And after 7 months of resisting that "I should be fine",  finally I dropped/let go my ego and made an action to try a new treatment.

A good friend of mine who is a healer based in Canada, during her visit to Tokyo, she introduced me to a conventional therapy.

It uses infrasonic sound via a bone-conduction headphone to check frequency in almost 600 organs in the body to project how they are vibrating in 6 levels on the computer monitor, linked to anatomical graphics which could match closest to each patient's data from1600M data consisting of variety of ages and physical conditions, etc.

And what it's so great about it is that it can also perform treatment in-situ, while the patient sits in front of the screen and observes it.

"New Scan Therapy", that is what it's called over here, was originally invented in Russia for checking astronauts's health before their departure into space.

From the therapy, in addition to where I already guessed to have problems, I found that I had some problems in my uterus and bladder. And by just one or two clicks, I could see the parts getting improved, from the level 5 to 2. (And I noticed the treatment effect the next morning. I didn't feel the urge to go to the bathroom first thing I woke up, and I had much less discharge.)

Coincidentally, at the healing place, I reconnected with an old friend who I had not seen for 20 years. He is one of the top healers there!

49 New Home

Meanwhile, we moved to a new apartment, which finally feels like home!

The old place we moved out from was a parents' house of our family friend, vacant, yet crammed up with a few sets of furnitures and household goods from their recently deceased relatives.

When we heard about this property from this friend, who wasn't willing to live there, Mom and I suggested that he should clean up the place to rent out. That's when I came up with a crazy yet brilliant idea. "Wait. What about us?"

We had to move to a bigger place sooner or later anyway, so why not? The place was fully furnished, close to school (just in time for my daughter to enter elementary school) , no security deposit needed, and a real bargain! All it took was weeks of breaking things in pieces, throwing them away, and cleaning up.

I must have been lucky, but the truth was I didn't feel "happy" deep down. FrugaIity was somewhat fun for the 1st year when I started out new, but  it was wearing out and turning into fear that we might stay this way forever or worse.

Thus I invited "poor" situations more and more, until I finally decided to "be happy" again, which was the beginning of the whole journey in 2012.

On the contrary, the new apartment is of course more expensive, but my consciousness has become "richer", thus invited such situations. Not only the better-paying job, but also cost-saving situations naturally.

Also I threw away a lot of stuff...art books, drawings, references, paintings, documents, albums, letters, clothes.... I cannot believe most of them made a round-trip from Tokyo to L.A., and some more local moves. I got sick of "lots of stuff"!
It feels good to get rid of things, which is really "attachments". It's actually one of the things to do along with detox, as recommended by Dr. Schulze

45 NTA (Nerve Transmission Adjustment) doctor

Boy, I had never experienced dizziness like that before! I could not even get out of bed to reach my phone.

I felt very lucky to have a very helpful 9 year-old daughter who made carrot juice for me besides fixing her own breakfast.

By the next day I felt better enough to go to the NTA doctor*, who was the only doctor I relied on in Japan for more than 10 years, but unfortunately I hadn't been able to afford him lately (those really good treatments are not covered by insurance). It was about time to visit him  finally.

As always, he told me straight what was wrong with me: It's post-detox diet.

He found out I was on strict detox/diet and said it's not good to be too strict because getting back to normal diet is very difficult and dangerous for the body to adjust.

I felt better and went to work after the treatment.

For about a month I felt a bit dizzy but nothing compared to the first day.  Only once it got worse again within a month, and the doctor asked me if I was taking any supplement. Strange, but it was true that I had started taking "good for cancer" supplement someone sent for me.

The doctor says if you notice a physical problem, suspect anything you recently started taking i.e supplements or change of diet.

So many supplements were recommended by many people, but I decided to stick with "being happy" and taking healthy food as much as possible.

I stopped going to the doctor after several times, partly because of time and money, but more I wanted to be proactive about curing myself by not relying on him, the miracle doctor. I will save him as the last resort!

41 Dr. Schulze's Incurables Program

My mission during the program:
1. Get up 1hr early for preparation
2. Make enough juice to drink in the morning and to fill 2L water bottle to bring to work.
3. Make sure to supply enough organic carrots, beets, apples, oranges, blueberries, lemons, garlic, etc. (Suggested juice contents are different for each program)
4. Prepare raw food: fresh fruit&veggies, dried fruit, raw nuts to bring to work.
5. Walk 60-90 min. every day

Incurables Program consists of:
Week1. Bowel/Colon Cleansing
Week2. Liver/Gallbladder Cleansing
Week3. Kidney/Bladder Cleansing
Week4. Bowel/Colon Cleansing

Each cleansing program lasts 5 days, then 2 days interval (I made it on weekend) before moving on to the next one, in total said 30 days, but really 28 days for me.

Each program has specific herbal formulas, detox tea, etc. On intervals I could skip that part and stay with raw food and juice.

Again, I had never tried any "detox" or "fasting", in other words, I had never had tolerance without food, so I was very worried if I was going to make it...

But somehow, I cleared Week 1.

36 Dr. Schulze's store in Marina Del Rey

The next day we left Ellie's to go to Dr. Schulze's store in Marina Del Rey, which was another big destination for this trip. At the store we had arranged to meet another friends,  who we were going to stay with the night. They were the ones who got me into Dr. Schulze

One step in, and there it smelled so clean and herbal.

I was planning to buy one of the detox programs, but when I got to know the details by the sales lady, I got blown away.

During the 30 day detox program, I must drink fresh juice exclusively for the maximum result. It sounded impossible since I would be working full time at my new job.

It reminded me of the terminal cancer patients, who were constantly fed fresh juice, as I read in Gerson treatment.

According to the store, however, I was considered "seriously ill" , so I should try the most stoic way.

They told me that fresh juice could be good up to 8 hours in good condition, so I could make a lot in the morning to bring to work, and I could eat raw food to avoid hunger i.e. bananas, dried fruit, raw nuts and veggies, etc.

My silly concern was that it would be killing me to prepare good-smelling food for my daughter while on detox! Also, I doubted if I could stick to it for that long since I had never even tried fasting for a day! What I've been doing is hard enough already... I can't handle hunger... there's so much work to do to prepare...

I was in a huge resistance.

What if I intend to cure and do without such strict detox....? Lola said follow what you and your body feel good about. This is where I still get confused, between if this is my mind is telling a story to resist or if this is what I (my large self) is saying no.

That was when my old friend Keith showed up with his lovely girl friend and daughter, so we got busy introducing new faces to each other, exchanging hugs, and brief updates.

Then what Keith told me opened my eyes,
"Well, if you are serious and committed to cure on your own instead of taking chemical treatment, don't you wanna try something extraordinary?"

He's right. there could be an easier way, but for me now, I need to try something special, so that I feel committed big time, in order to strengthen my intention to cure.

So I was convinced to try Incurables Program, and decided to get a juicer when I get home, arrange delivery of organic vegetables in bulk, get a big water bottle to carry around, and buy  a lot of raw food bars for emergency while in the US.

All set.

20 Hot and Cold Water Therapy

Looking back, the whole continuum of breast cancer care happened in the ideal timing. I had surgery in the end of April, and rested at home the following week, which is  the most pleasant time of year in Tokyo. Post-sugical care was easy in the season, without stress of too cold or too hot. And Raw food diet is easiest in summer, so I was really lucky.

Speaking of too cold and too hot, one of the natural treatment I really liked and tried almost every day was Hot and Cold Water Therapy by Dr. Schulze's Incurables program. Among his hard-core Hydrotherapies, this was the easiest for me to try on my own.

According to Dr. Schulze, hot water brings blood flow to the surface of the body, while the cold water drives blood flow to the core of the body, thus by alternating Hot and Cold water brings fresh blood to the organs and glands and all parts of the body. He says, "Increasing the circulation HEALS YOU FASTER." in 20 Powerful Steps.

Prior to visiting his store, I started reading his books online, as his books are available to read for free on his blog site

My medical doctor at the breast clinic said I could take a shower from the 2nd day after surgery, and I should start taking a bath after a week. He writes in his book that taking a bath to warm your body, especially up to the shoulders will help blood circulate to cure post-surgical trauma faster.

Although I was scared to do anything to the surgery site, and worried about infection from the wounds, I started trying the Hot and Cold Water Therapy  on the surgery site after taking a bath.  I always liked hot bath and the routine of hot sauna and cold bath, so it was easy for me and felt good to do, although the first few seconds of cold shower was tough, but again, the warm season helped.

08 Ionic Foot Bath and Heat therapy by small iron

Thus, I decided to take surgery but still was not sure about taking chemical treatment afterwards. I was told that further treatment should be decided by the result of lymph node biopsy which was included in the surgery. However, in any case I was told that I would have to take some kind of chemical treatment because the result on the first biopsy looked pretty bad already.

So I tried to clean my system as much as possible by natural cure until the surgery so the result could be better.

Here are what I tried besides the diet I mentioned earlier:

1. First of all, drink tons of (good) water.

Ionic foot bath which detoxes your system. I found that some health spa places in Los Angeles use them. This is fun because it is visible what your body is discharging by the color.

3. Heat therapy using small travel-size iron
To use small iron on heating organs, using a this towel. This was by a friend directly but no link to paste, so please contact me for details if you are interested.
This made me feel thirsty!
